Sardi Bhalgran Rawalakot Azad Kashmir Sardi Bhalgran is subpart of Thorar, while the Jhelum River is located in the west of Bhalgran. It is a beautiful region of this part of Kashmir, its sub-parts contain the villages of Sardi, Liway, Dhebyren, Rarota, Chetti Trar, Numb Dumbnota Saydan Bhalgran,Hyel, Manjhar, Poothi, Hella na par and Makka Gran. There is 1 private college 2 High School,2 middle School,9 primary School,1 BHU,1 Dispensary,4 Jama Mosque, 9 Mahallah Masjid 4600 voters and 6 polling stations. The population of Sardi Bhalgran is near about 7000+ and its area is about 2458 aikarr & 5 kinal .The literacy rate of Bhalgran is 85%. It is located at 75 kilometres (46.5 miles) from Kohala. Bhalgran is connected with Rawalpindi and Islamabad via the neighbouring districts of Azad Pattan and Dhalkot, and with Muzaffarabad through Kohalla. Majority of the population in Bhalgran belong to the Sudhun Tribe. People of this region mostly play volley ball, cricket ludo and Tash(Cards). The town has few good bazaars where all essential commodities of life are easily available. There is a large diaspora of people from Bhalgran in the Middle East and Europe, as employment opportunities for the population are non-existent, some find employment with the Military or in government departments. The area has subsistence level of farming which is not enough to feed a family.
